The One Rail Wardrobe You Build Piece by Piece

When the rail in your wardrobe only holds a handful of hangers, every piece has to work with the others. This set is a mock turtleneck knit, a pair of high rise tapered jeans and a low heel ankle boot in taupe. It is for anyone building a base on a small budget and a small closet.

  1. Jeans for the Tuesday you just want to get dressed, Rinse Noir

These tapered jeans sit high at the natural waist, with a zipper fly, belt loops and functional pockets. The fabric is 73% cotton, 25% polyester and 2% spandex, and they machine wash. Inseams come in 29, 31 and 33 inches, with a 15 inch leg opening. Rinse Noir is the version here, and it anchors the set.

  2. The turtleneck for cold mornings and a cardigan on top

A slim, lightweight mock turtleneck with long sleeves, knit from 93% rayon and 7% spandex. It can be worn on its own or as a layer under a sweater, cardigan or jacket. Wash cold, skip the bleach, and lay it flat or hang it to dry. How the slim fit feels is a matter of taste.
