The hand towels that wait by the sink all December

Two hand towels in blue, woven with a winter tree pattern and finished with embroidered snowmen. Each measures 16 by 25 inches. They are clearly seasonal, so the useful question is whether they earn a place at the sink once the holiday decorations go back in the box.

These are terry jacquard towels, so the winter tree pattern is woven into the cloth. Embroidered snowmen are appliquéd on, and a striped dobby trim finishes the design. The listing gives the weight as 450 GSM and says that adds softness and absorbency without extra bulk, which matters for a towel that has to fold over a bar or hang from a small ring.

The side hems are double stitched, and the listing offers that as the durability feature. It does not say how the towels hold up through repeated washing and gives no care instructions, so the label is worth reading before the first wash. The listing names the bath, kitchen, bar area or any sink space as places to use them, and it states OEKO TEX Standard 100 certification.

As a gift, the listing calls it a fun holiday gift, and that is accurate as far as it goes. A seasonal pattern is best judged by whether it is still in use months later, and this one is plainly dressed for winter. The same Winter Friends design is also listed as a bath towel, rug, soap dispenser and shower curtain, with other snowman and snowflake hand towel sets, rugs and four piece sets in the range.
