The ankle boots for a crisp October walk to the bus stop

These flat lace up ankle boots in artificial leather have a 1.26 inch heel, a round toe and an inside zipper. The listing names a memory foam insole and a rubber sole, which is the practical detail for days spent on your feet. Sizes run from 6 to 11 US.

The upper is artificial leather, and the listing describes it as soft to the touch, breathable and easy to wipe clean. It does not say which lining sits underneath, and it does not give a waterproof rating, so treat wet weather as something to check rather than assume. The sole is listed as rubber and TPR, described as giving traction on wet city streets and uneven paths.

Fit details are specific. The heel is 1.26 inches, the sole is flat, and the toe is round with room for toes according to the listing. Closure is lace up with metal eyelets, so you can adjust to your foot, plus an inside zipper and a back pull tab for getting them on. The insole is memory foam with gentle arch support. Sizes run 6 to 11 US, and the listing calls them true to size. Whether that holds for your foot is worth confirming against the size chart.

Color is where taste comes in. The listing mentions black, brown, grey, cognac, wine red and black suede, and the versions offered here are Tan, Black Suede and Cognac. Which one suits your wardrobe is a matter of preference, not measurement. The listing suggests wearing them with jeans, dresses, shorts, skirts or a coat, and says they are imported.
