The kitten heels for the dinner after a long Friday

These slingback kitten heels have a pointed closed toe, a 2.75 inch heel and an adjustable buckle strap at the back. The upper and the lining are faux leather. Here is what the listing says, and a few things it leaves out, laid out plainly.

The heel is 2.75 inches, which the listing calls a mid heel. It is a kitten style, so the heel is slim and the shape is more about line than height. The toe is pointed and closed, and the back is a slingback: a strap that wraps behind the heel and fastens with an adjustable buckle. That buckle is the useful detail, because you can set the strap where you want it instead of relying on a fixed fit.

The upper and the inner lining are both faux leather, and the sole is listed as rubber. One line of the listing also says synthetic sole, so treat the rubber detail as the more specific of the two. Care is by hand with cold water. Sizes run 5 to 10 in half sizes, then 11, with no 10.5 listed.

The listing suggests blazers, jeans and dresses, from spring through fall, and from the office to a wedding. Whether a pointed slingback suits your wardrobe is a matter of taste, not measurement. The listing calls the shoe comfy but gives no detail on padding, insole, width or weight, and it does not name colors in the text provided. If those matter to you, check the size chart and the photos before you decide.
