The sweatpants for chilly mornings between couch and street

Some days start cool and end somewhere else entirely, and a pair of fleece lined wide leg sweatpants covers a lot of that ground. The listing gives the fiber blend, two inseam lengths, and a waistband that can sit at two heights. Here is what that means.

The fabric is 64% polyester and 36% cotton, with a fleece lining. The listing calls it soft and suited to days between 41°F and 59°F. How warm it feels on a given person is a matter of taste and of what goes underneath, and the listing does not give a fabric weight in grams or ounces. Care is simple: machine wash. The listing does not state a water temperature, so the label is the place to check.

Fit is handled through length. There are two inseams, 27 inches for petite, listed as 5'1" to 5'4.2", and 29 inches for regular, listed as 5'4.6" to 5'7.7". The listing says this avoids dragging hems and bunching. The silhouette is a relaxed wide leg. The listing gives no waist, hip, or leg opening measurements, so anyone between sizes may want to find a size chart before choosing.

The waistband has an inner drawstring, and the listing describes two ways to wear it: up at a mid rise, or folded down so the drawstring shows at a lower rise. Which looks better is a matter of taste. Two deep side pockets are listed for a phone, keys, or a wallet. It is listed for home, commuting, the gym, and travel. It comes in Steel Blue, Warm Ash Grey, and Light Heather Grey. It is imported.
