The small blender for a smoothie before you leave the house

The number that matters here is 700 watts, the rating of the motor base. It drives one set of extractor blades in a 16 oz cup, and you blend in the same cup you drink from. The listing describes a compact personal blender, and it says little beyond that about how it performs.

The motor base is rated at 700 watts. That is a power rating, not a measure of how smooth a drink will come out, and the listing gives no blending times, no cup speed and no noise level. It describes the unit as able to crush ice and blend frozen ingredients, and it uses the phrase nutrient extraction, marked with an asterisk, for blending whole fruits and vegetables. The asterisk points to a footnote that the listing does not show, so treat that phrase as a marketing term rather than a measurement.

The format is simple. You blend directly in a 16 oz single serve cup, then attach a spout lid and carry it with you. The controls are push to blend. The box includes the motor base, the Pro Extractor Blades Assembly, two 16 oz Nutri Ninja cups and two spout lids. Two cups mean one can be filled or washed while the other is in use.

All parts are listed as BPA free and top rack dishwasher safe. The listing gives no dimensions, no weight and no cord length, so check your counter space before buying. It is also sold in other versions: a push to blend set with three cups in silver, and two Auto Blend versions, one in blue. The listing does not say how those differ in performance.
