The ankle boots for a day that runs from desk to dinner

A round toe ankle boot with a chunky 1.77 inch heel and a zipper on the side, made for the days that start on foot and end somewhere you want to look put together. Here is what the listing says, plainly, and what it leaves out.

The shape is a classic round toe with a chunky heel that measures 1.77 inches, which the listing calls a low heel for standing stability. The shaft sits at the ankle, with a circumference of 10.5 inches, and wide width options are mentioned, though the listing does not say which sizes come in wide. The boots are also sold in a Black Suede version, and the listing gives no further detail about it.

There are two zippers. The inner one is the working zipper, there for getting the boots on and off. The outer one is decorative, so it is a styling detail rather than a way in. The outsole is listed as TPR for grip, and the sole material is given as rubber. The lining and insoles are described as soft, which the listing ties to comfort on long walks.

It is listed for spring, autumn and winter, and for formal wear, business casual and daily gatherings. That is a wide brief, and whether it suits your own wardrobe is a matter of taste. Heel height and shaft circumference are measurements it does give. The listing does not state the upper material, whether the boots are waterproof, or how the sizing runs, so check those before ordering.
