The brown heels for a morning that turns into a night out

A chocolate brown slingback pump with a pointed closed toe and a 2.75 inch block heel, listed for commutes, weddings, parties and date nights. Here is what the listing actually says about the shoe itself, and what it leaves out.

The outer is faux leather in chocolate brown, and the sole is rubber. The shape is a pointed closed toe with an open back, held by a slingback strap that closes with a buckle. The listing calls the strap adjustable and says it suits a range of foot shapes. With a buckle, you set the fit yourself instead of relying on a fixed opening.

The heel is a block heel measuring 2.75 inches, or 7cm. The listing calls it walkable and stable, and says the padded insole follows the natural curve of the arch. Those are the seller’s words, and how a heel feels over a long day depends on the foot, so read them as a description and not a measurement. The listing does not state width options, half sizes or the thickness of the padding, so the size chart is worth checking before you order.

Chocolate brown is a matter of taste, but the listing suggests it with dresses, jeans, shorts, tees or formal outfits. It names everyday wear, daily commutes, weddings, parties, date nights and shopping trips. Care instructions and the lining material are not stated, so those are worth a question to the seller if they matter to you. Nothing in the listing mentions weight or the exact shade beyond brown.
