The ankle boots you pull on when the door is already open

These Chelsea style ankle boots sit on a 2 inch kitten heel with a squared toe, and the shaft is made of elastic fabric, so there are no laces or zips to deal with. A pull tab does the work of getting them on. Here is what the listing says, and what it leaves out.

The shape is simple. The heel is a kitten heel, listed at 2 inches or 5 cm, so it adds a little height without turning the walk to the bus stop into a project. The toe is squared off, which is a matter of taste rather than measurement: some people like that neat, graphic outline, others prefer a rounded toe. The shaft is an elastic fabric, and the listing says it fits snugly around the ankle, which is how Chelsea boots stay on without laces or a zip.

The materials are described in two ways. The material field says suede, while the feature text says faux suede with elastic fabric. Two versions are labeled Pu and one is labeled Taupe Suede, so it is worth checking which version you are looking at. The sole is rubber and is described as non slip. A pull tab and a pull on closure mean you slide your foot in and tug, with nothing to fasten.

The listing does not give the shaft height, the width of the fit, the lining, the insole padding or how the sizes run, so those are worth confirming before you order. It names three versions: Taupe Suede, Brown Pu and Black Pu. It suggests wearing them with jeans, trousers, skirts and dresses, for everyday, shopping, dates or weddings.
