The food chopper for a quiet hour of Sunday prep

The number that decides this chopper is 3.5 cups, the size of its work bowl. That is a modest volume, enough for a batch of salsa, hummus or dressing. It has two speeds and a pulse setting, and comes in pistachio, Empire Red, Ice Blue and Matte Black.

The listing gives one measurement: a 3.5 cup work bowl. It gives no wattage, no dimensions in inches, no cord length and no weight, so the phrase small, countertop friendly footprint is a description, not a measurement. Anyone with a tight shelf or a narrow drawer should check the manufacturer’s dimensions before buying.

What the listing says about function is specific. There are two speeds and a pulse setting, described as covering coarse and fine results, from chunky pico de gallo and salsa to hummus, sauce or dressing. The blade is stainless steel, described as multi purpose, and it locks in place so it stays put when the contents are poured out. The bowl has a handle and a pour spout. A drizzle basin lets liquid ingredients go in while the machine runs, which is the detail that matters for dressings and sauces.

For cleaning, the listing says the work bowl is dishwasher safe. It does not say whether the lid, blade or drizzle basin are, so that is worth confirming. A cord wrap is included for storage. Pistachio is one of four finishes; Empire Red, Ice Blue and Matte Black are also sold, and the listing says nothing about differences between them.
