The pointed pumps for a day that ends somewhere nice

Some days start in flats and end somewhere that asks for a little more. These are closed toe pumps with a pointed toe, a stiletto heel of about 3 inches, and a slip on shape with no buckles or straps to fuss with each morning.

The heel is listed at approximately 3 inches, and it is a stiletto, so it is slim rather than block shaped. The listing says the height is meant to balance stability with a dressed up look. The shoe is closed at the toe and pointed, with a slip on shape. The outer and the sole are both listed as manmade material, and the inner is listed as latex. The listing does not say whether any version is leather.

Comfort is described in specific terms. There is a 4 mm latex insole and a 3 mm covered latex pad under the forefoot, which the listing calls double buffering to reduce pressure on the feet. The toplifts, the small tips at the base of the heel, are described as mute, meant to cut down noise on the floor. The listing says the toe area has enough space for the foot. How that feels is a matter of your own feet, and no spec sheet can settle it. Sizing and width are not given in the material, so check the size chart before ordering.

The listing names work, commute, wedding, prom, cocktail and nightclub occasions, which says more about the style than about any rule. Color is a matter of taste, and the listing shows Black Patent, Hot Pink Suede and Black Nubuck versions. The listing does not describe how those finishes differ in feel.
