The LED face mask for a slow evening at home

This is an LED face mask with 162 lights, a built in 2000mAh battery and no cord, so it can sit on your face wherever the evening happens to be. It has four light modes, three brightness levels and a timer that runs from 5 to 25 minutes.

The listing describes four modes. Mode 1 combines red and near infrared light at 845 to 855 nm. Mode 2 is pure red at 650 to 655 nm. Mode 3 is blue at 405 to 410 nm, and Mode 4 mixes red and blue for what the listing calls combination skin. The listing says each wavelength reaches a different skin layer, but it does not give clinical data or study results, so treat the mode names as the maker’s own description.

Day to day, the practical parts are simple. The mask is cordless and runs on a 2000mAh battery that the listing says covers multiple sessions on one charge, though it does not state an exact number of sessions or a charging time. You can change modes and brightness with the touch button or the included remote, and the timer shuts the mask off when the set time is up. That suits a small flat, where the sofa, the bed and the floor by the radiator all double as a spot for sitting still.

It is described as soft, light enough for a bag and shaped to stay in place without pinching. Weight, materials and size are not listed, so fit and comfort come down to your own face and taste. The listing also says it is FSA and HSA eligible and tells you to cleanse and apply skincare afterward. Check with your plan administrator before relying on that.
