The ankle boots for a day that runs from desk to dinner

A pair of ankle boots with a 3 inch chunky stacked heel, a zipper closure, and a crossover strap. The outer is faux suede leather according to the listing, and the notes below stay with what the listing actually states.

These booties sit on a stacked chunky heel that measures 3 inches, with a platform of about 0.25 inches at the front. The listing calls the heel mid height, and the silhouette is described as classic and sleek, so the shape is simple enough to wear with jeans, a skirt, or work trousers. Whether 3 inches feels right for a long walk is a matter of habit and taste, and the listing gives no comfort measurements beyond the fit details below.

The outer material is listed as faux leather, described in the copy as soft faux suede leather. The sole material is listed as leather, which is worth noting because the two are not the same thing. A zipper closure handles getting them on and off, and a crossover strap adds a chic touch, according to the listing. The listing does not state a lining material, a weight, or whether the zipper sits on the inside or outside of the boot.

The shaft height is 4.5 inches and the top opening circumference is about 11 inches, so measure your ankle and calf against that number before you order, especially if you plan to wear thick socks or tights. The listing suggests nights out, the office, and weekends, though it does not give a size chart or say how the boots run.
