The platform sneakers for a long Saturday of errands

A low top sneaker with a platform of about 1 inch, a padded collar and a lace up front. The listing describes cushioning, arch support and a faux leather upper, which is the part worth reading closely if your budget is small.

The Time Off sneaker is a women’s lace up low top with a platform of approximately 1 inch. The upper is faux leather that the listing calls water resistant, and the fabric type is given as 100% synthetic. The sole is polyurethane, and the outsole is described as ultra flexible with extra grip and cushioning. The listing says the shoe is imported. It does not state a weight, a heel to toe drop or the exact height of the upper, so those are worth checking before you order.

The comfort claims center on the insole. The listing names anatomical cushioning, anti odor insole technology and arch support that uses 15% plant based BLOOM foam. That means the foam is one part of the support, and the listing does not say what makes up the rest. The padded collar and the laces are there to hold the fit snug for active and everyday wear.

Sizing is spelled out with some care. Medium widths have a B+ ball girth and width, and wide sizes have a D ball girth and width. The sidewall is pre treated with Easy Clean Repellant, a topical spray applied to the sidewall only. The listing says to wipe it with water on a household cloth, and that individual results may vary. Whether a platform sneaker suits your jeans or your skirts is a matter of taste, not measurement.
