Wide leg jeans for the morning you just want to get dressed

These are high waisted, wide leg jeans in a stretch denim that is 78% cotton, 20% polyester and 2% elastane. The listing describes a soft, lightweight fabric and a loose cut, which is a fair summary of what this pair is built to do on an ordinary day.

The fabric is where to start. At 78% cotton, the denim is mostly a natural fiber, with 20% polyester and 2% elastane making up the rest. Two percent is a modest share, and the listing does not say how much the fabric stretches. It does say the elastic denim lets you move freely when sitting or squatting, and calls it soft, lightweight and breathable. No fabric weight is given.

The cut is high rise with a straight, wide leg, a button and zipper fly, and five pockets. The listing says it pairs with tops, shirts, vests, blouses, sweatshirts, sweaters and cardigans, and calls it suitable for every season. Whether a wide leg suits your shoes or your height is a matter of taste, and the listing gives no inseam, rise or leg opening measurement.

Care is machine wash, and the listing gives no temperature or drying advice, so the garment label is the place to check. It is imported, with no country named, and the listing asks buyers to consult the Dokotoo size chart before ordering. The color and wash are not described in the text. Occasions named include school, office, shopping, a party or a vacation. The package holds one pair of jeans.
