The slow cooker for a Sunday that smells like supper by noon

The listing gives this slow cooker a 7 quart capacity and a programmable timer that runs from 30 minutes to 20 hours. Those two numbers decide most of what it can do in a home kitchen, and the rest is detail.

The 7 quart size is the number to read first. The listing says it feeds 9 or more people and names roasts, family meals and entertaining as uses. The 9 plus figure is the listing’s own estimate of servings. It does not give outside dimensions, weight, wattage, or the material of the insert, so check those before you clear a shelf for it.

Timing is set by a programmable control from 30 minutes to 20 hours, with a digital countdown display that shows the time left. An auto warm setting holds food at serving temperature once cooking ends. The listing calls that temperature perfect, which is a description and not a measurement. It does not state the actual temperature of the warm setting or how long it can run.

The locking lid is described as a Cook & Carry design with a tight seal meant to prevent leaks and spills in transit. Large handles are listed for lifting and carrying. The listing does not say whether the lid or insert is dishwasher safe. The color is Desert Sage green, described as modern vintage. The same 7 quart size is also listed in grey, stainless steel and Morning Haze blue.
