The wide leg jeans for coffee runs and long city walks

These wide leg jeans sit at a high rise and hang loose through the leg, made from a cotton rich denim with a little polyester and elastane. They are cut for the days that start with a coffee and end somewhere unplanned, with room to move built in.

The fabric is 65% cotton, 33% polyester and 2% elastane. Cotton leads, so the denim keeps a structured look, and the elastane adds gentle stretch for sitting, walking and reaching. The polyester makes up a third of the blend. The listing does not state the weight of the denim or how much the fabric recovers, so how stiff or soft it feels is something it leaves open.

The cut is a high rise waist with a roomy wide leg and a relaxed, boyfriend inspired shape. Seam detailing runs through the jeans, and there is a zipper fly and two pockets. The listing gives no measurements, rise height or inseam length, so check the sizing information before ordering. It also does not say how long the leg runs, so the break over your shoes is a guess.

Styling is simple with a loose leg: a fitted tee, a tucked blouse, a cropped jacket or a sweater all fit the description. Sneakers, loafers and boots are the shoes it names, for spring, fall and cooler summer evenings. Care is machine wash on a regular cycle, then reshape before wearing again. They come in Jean Blue, Light Blue and Blue, and which shade suits you is a matter of taste. Imported.
