The biscotti box for a slow coffee on a busy afternoon

This is a gift box of five chocolate dipped biscotti bars, each with its own topping, set in five sections. The listing describes them as baked fresh, dairy free and Kosher Certified PAREVE, and it pitches the box as a gift or party favor.

The box is a mini sampler with five sections. According to the listing, each biscotti bar is hand dipped in chocolate and finished with its own topping: candied almonds, caramel chips, craisins, coconut crunch and cookie crumble. The bars are described as crunchy and old fashioned, baked fresh in the maker’s bakeshop and sent in keep fresh packaging. How much crunch counts as the perfect crumble point is a matter of taste, and the listing does not give a texture beyond that.

On ingredients, the listing says the biscotti are made with natural ingredients, with no additives, preservatives or trans fat. It also says they contain no meat and no dairy, and that the line is Kosher Certified PAREVE CRC Hisachdus. The listing does not give an ingredient list, so anyone with a nut, wheat or egg allergy would need to check the full label before buying. Calories and weight per bar are not stated either.

The listing presents the box as a favor or gift for weddings, bridal and baby showers, holidays, anniversaries, sympathy and office use, in a small token gift box. Barnett’s is described as a family owned small business. A medium version is also sold, though the listing gives nothing further about it.
