The wedge boots for mornings you run out the door

Some mornings you need shoes you can step into without thinking, and that still look like you made an effort. These Chelsea ankle boots sit on a 2 inch wedge with elastic gores on both sides and a heel loop made for easy on and off. The upper is nubuck leather and suede.

The upper is described as premium nubuck leather and soft suede, with good stretch and a lightweight feel. The listing does not say whether the lining is leather or fabric, and it gives no weight, so how light they feel on your foot is something the description can only promise, not measure. Care instructions and water resistance are not mentioned either.

The shape is a classic Chelsea with a 2 inch wedge and a platform, set on a thick lug sole made of rubber. The listing credits the sole with strong grip and good anti slip performance on slippery surfaces. The shaft is ankle height with a circumference of 10 inches, and the elastic gores on both sides are what let the boot open enough to slide on.

Styling is a matter of taste, not measurement. The listing suggests jeans, coats, sweaters and dresses, and calls them suitable for leisure, street, office, club and party wear. It also calls them a must have for fall and winter, which is its opinion rather than a spec. The boots are also sold in Black Suede, Brown and Khaki. The listing gives no sizing details, so check the size chart before ordering.
