The ankle boots for the rushed walk to the bus on a gray morning

Some mornings you need a boot you can zip on in a few seconds and forget about. These short ankle boots have a pointed toe, a 1.65 inch block heel and a polyurethane upper, which is the listing’s way of saying a smooth, wipe clean surface for ordinary days.

The upper is polyurethane, a coated synthetic, and the listing calls it easy to clean. The lining is fabric. The sole is thermoplastic elastomer, sold here as a non slip, wear resistant outsole. The listing says the sole grips well, but it gives no test rating, so treat that as the seller’s description rather than a measurement.

The heel is a 1.65 inch block, and the listing says it gives stability with each step. It does not state the shaft height, the opening circumference, the weight or the width, so check those against your own measurements before you buy. Those are the gaps worth knowing about. The toe is pointed, and the metal buckle is decoration only. A zipper closes the boot, so there are no laces to deal with.

The listing suggests jeans, shorts and casual or commuter outfits, and names spring, fall and winter as the seasons. It does not mention insulation, a waterproof rating or a fleece lining, so it gives no detail on warmth beyond the fabric lining. Whether a pointed toe and a buckle suit your wardrobe is a matter of taste. The listing also mentions travel, walking and shopping, and says the boots would work as a gift.
