The turtleneck sweater for the first cold walk to work

This is a long sleeve turtleneck pullover in a knit that is mostly synthetic, with 6% wool in the mix. The listing rates stretch, thickness and softness as medium, and sizes run from XS to XL, so the details below are worth a look before you pick.

The fiber content decides how a sweater behaves, so here it is in full: 6% wool, 20% nylon, 35% acrylic and 39% polyester. Polyester and acrylic together make up nearly three quarters, and wool is a small share. Nylon at 20% is the third largest part. The listing rates thickness, stretch and softness as medium. It does not state the weight of the knit or the stitch, so how warm it is stays open. How soft it feels at the neck is a matter of taste.

The fit is listed as regular. Sizing runs XS for US 0 to 2, S for US 4 to 6, M for US 8 to 10, L for US 12 to 14 and XL for US 16 to 18. The listing refers to a fuller description for more size details, but no length or sleeve measurements are given in the material here, so check the size chart on the page before ordering.

Care is simple on paper: machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors, and do not bleach or iron. The sweater is described as long sleeve with a turtleneck, and it is imported. The listing suggests wearing it with skirts or jeans, for the office, school, travel or a dinner out. It also notes that colors may differ slightly from what a screen shows, and recommends judging them in natural daylight.
