The ankle boots for the walk from desk to dinner

These ankle boots have a 3 inch stacked heel, a faux calfskin upper and a memory foam insole. A zipper on the inside of the shaft handles getting them on, which suits a morning with no time to spare and an evening that has not been decided yet.

The upper is faux calfskin and the lining is faux suede, so this is an alternative leather boot. The seams are turned, and the listing says they have no stitching. The toe is chiseled, meaning a shaped and defined tip. Whether that suits your wardrobe is a matter of taste. Care instructions are not given.

Comfort comes from a padded insole with memory foam, and the sole is synthetic rubber described as flexible and slip resistant. The heel is 3 inches and stacked, and the shaft measures 5.25 inches from where the heel sits to the top. How the heel feels over a full day is not something the listing states. The listing does not give a width, a weight or a waterproof rating, so check those before you rely on them for a wet commute.

A zipper on the side means no laces or buckles to manage, and the listing calls it an interior zipper meant for easy entry. The listing also says the boots go from day to night, which is the seller’s description and depends on what you wear with them. The boots are imported, and the listing gives no information about sizing, so read the size guidance on the page before ordering.
