Ankle boots for the evening you zip up and head out

A fitted ankle boot with a pointed toe, a covered block heel and a stretch shaft that zips up on the inside. It is the kind of pair that lives by the door, ready for the days when you want one thing to pull the whole outfit together.

The shaft is stretch faux kidsuede, and the listing says it is meant to give an expanded fit through the leg, with an internal zipper for getting them on and off. The lining is faux leather. The listing calls the materials alternative leather. The shaft height is 5 inches, measured from where your heel sits to the top of the shaft.

The heel is 2.75 inches, a covered block shape, and the toe is a soft point. The listing describes a slim look on the foot. The sole is thermoplastic polyurethane, low profile and flexible, and the listing calls it nonslip. Inside, the insole is padded with what the listing calls high quality memory foam. How that feels over a full day is not something the listing measures, and it will depend on your foot.

Whether the pointed toe suits you is a matter of taste, and the listing gives no width information, so a narrow or wide foot is a question it does not answer. The size chart, care instructions and waterproofing are not stated. The listing says the boots are imported and calls them a wardrobe staple, which is the seller’s wording rather than a measurement.
