The long cardigan for chilly mornings on the way out the door

Some days need one more layer and not much else. This long cardigan has an open front, long sleeves and a mid thigh length, so it goes over a tank or a tee without any fuss. The yarn is a cotton blend, and the listing calls it lightweight with a soft drape. The fit is regular.

The fabric is 55% cotton, 25% modal and 20% polyester, described as a lightweight sweater yarn with drape. Cotton makes up just over half of the blend. How soft it feels is a matter of touch and taste, and the listing gives no weight in grams or ounces, so lightweight here is the seller’s word.

The cut is a regular fit, close but comfortable through the chest, waist and hips. The front is open, and the closure type is listed as pull on. Sleeves are long with rib detail at the cuffs and the hem. Length is mid thigh, so it sits well below the hips over a tank or a tee. The listing suggests it suits both a refined and a casual look, and which one you get depends on what goes under it and what you wear with it. The listing gives no model height or measurements, so check the size chart before ordering.

Care is simple on paper: machine wash cold and dry flat. Drying flat means no tumble dryer, which asks for a little rack or table space in a small flat. It is imported, and the listing names no country. It also does not mention pockets or a lining.
