The black ankle boots for the commute and the night after

These are black faux leather ankle boots with a 3.4 inch block heel, a round toe and a full side zip. The listing frames them for the commute, a casual gathering or a dressier evening, and the details behind that are worth reading closely before you decide.

The outer material is listed as faux leather, and the sole is rubber. The description also mentions high quality leather, which sits oddly beside the material field, so the more specific line is the safer one to go by. The shaft stops at the ankle, the toe is round, and the heel is a chunky block measuring 3.4 inches, or 8.5 cm.

The listing says the heel keeps strides steady, and that cushioned insoles and arch support make long days easier. The outsole is described as lightweight and nonslip. A full side zip means no laces to manage. Whether 3.4 inches feels right over a full day depends on your own feet, and the listing gives no platform height, zip length or lining material. It does not mention weather resistance either.

On sizing, the listing says they run true to size and suggests going up one size for wider feet or higher insteps. The seller also says it will respond promptly to questions about the product. Black faux leather with a round toe is a matter of taste, though the listing pairs them with jeans, dresses, suit pants and lightweight fall coats, for work, shopping or a dressier occasion.
